MERCURY TM Web Interface

Mercury^TM Web Interface is an add on web based access system for Mercury^TM, C-DAC’s Integrated Telemedicine Solution. Mercury^TM is a hybrid Telemedicine System offering a suite of tools for enabling sustainable Telemedicine programs across geographies. Mercury^TM Web Interface covers most of the aspects of Mercury^TM like acquiring data, building EMR, diagnostic assistance, user discovery & connectivity, sending offline data, etc.

This system has been developed to be web-based access interface for Mercury^TM InterSite Server or Peer to Peer Edition. It has been designed to provide Web based Tele-Consultation Models that can function over the Internet/Intranet. The versatility of this interface lies in its ability to provide most of the features of Mercury^TM through Web / Internet / Intranet or even wirelessly. Mercury tm Web Interface is expected to be usable in scenarios where specialist and patient side doctor can use Telemedicine without requiring immediate access to hospital’s telemedicine setup.

Being multi-platform makes it possible for deploying sites to start with little investment and build a viable telemedicine program.Mercury^TM Web Interface can be co-hosted along with Mercury^TM InterSite Server hence a separate server is not required. Mercury^TM Web Interface uses the underlying Mercury based server, hence the doctor / user will be able to access patient’s records from both Mercury^TM InterSite Client and Mercury^TM Web Interface.

The Mercury^TM Web Interface can be effective in all modes of Telemedicine and especially protect existing investments of a Hospital / Individual. The "Always Available" access would allow Specialist and Patient side doctors to better optimize their time as well as increase reach and availability.Mercury^TM Web Interface has been indigenously designed & developed ‘ground-up’ to be easy and intuitiv to use and thus has low learning curve. Also, as most of the functionalities are same as Mercury’s rich-client interface, existing Mercury users will find it easy to master it in short span of time.

Mercury^TM Web Interface leverages on the security provided in Mercury^TM InterSite Server, making data security highly robust. Other security protocols like SSL add the extra layer of security during communication between browser and the web server.

Mercury^TM Web Interface allows upload and download of many file formats, images and documents. It is possible to store supported types of data into the EMR making it easier to manage the record of every individual patient.

The robustness and modularity of the application allows Mercury^TM Web Interface to be customized and integrated into existing web-based infrastructure of the site. The application provides user changeable pages and templates like home sections, news section, contacts, etc.
